So . . . I fell very short of my September goals. My plan was to average 6 new listings a day, and to reach 180 by the end of the month. Didn’t happen. Didn’t even really come close.
There are several reasons for this. I did get miserably sick, as did my family, which put me a couple days behind. I spent several days focusing on the consignment sales, and ignoring eBay altogether, other than shipping out my items that had sold. And, I didn’t update my progress on my blog throughout the month like I had the last time. I’m sure it’s not especially interesting to read about, how many listings I am up to at any particular point during the month, but I think I will try to share brief updates at least once or twice this month. For me, knowing I have to own up to where I am at, and soon, helps hold me accountable, and keeps me focused and motivated.
So, it’s October already. I am going to shoot for 5 listings per day. Six was a bit of a stretch, but even more than that, the math hurt my head. Listing in increments of five makes it so much easier for me to keep track of where I am supposed to be at. Also, we are going to be out of town for at least six days this month. And I am letting myself off the hook in regards to listing those six days. So, my grand total goal for October is 125.
PS – Even though I wasn’t as consistent in my listing as I would have liked, my sales stayed steady. I sold something every day in September!! Even more, on 29 of those 30 days I had multiple sales each day. A grand total of 103 for the month.
