I went back to the consignment sale last night to shop the consignor 50% off sale. My husband and oldest son were at t-ball practice, so I had my youngest (yard-sale-intolerant) son with me. And, totally out of character, he just chilled in his stroller for almost an hour. I had time to look at everything I wanted. And? I. Bought. A. Lot. To the point that the British gal who helped me when I was checking out said, “Crikey!” when she tried to pick up my heavy, bulging bag to hand it to me.
This is how my sales broke down for the consignment sale – I took a little over 100 items:
Day 1 (Volunteer Presale): 2 items sold
Day 2 (First day open to the public): 15 items sold
Day 3 (Second day open to the public): 5 items sold
Day 4 (25% off day): 12 items sold
Day 5 (50% off day): 31 items sold (!!)
Grand total: 65 items sold
I know, I shouldn’t be so excited that the majority of items sold were at 50% off, but – it was all eBay rejects. Stuff I do not want to see again. I’m just happy well over half of it is gone. And, that I made more money than I spent!
