So, I have officially been on Poshmark over a year now. It was really, really slow going, but I am finally starting to feel like I am getting a bit of traction.
I will say though that I don’t have a particularly curated closet. I pretty much throw anything and everything up on PM, whether or not it’s super trendy. I have even started using the Home category, and have listed some baby blankets and plush.
It is my goal to list at least 5 items per day. I cross list from eBay, so this really doesn’t take very long. I am still working to reach my goal of selling an average of one item per day, but I’ve gotten so much closer!
In July I listed 143 new items on PM, and sold a grand total of 4.
In August I listed 144 new items, and sold 15.
In September I listed 147 new items, and sold 27.
Pretty darn close to my goal! May this month I will reach it.

How is Poshmark going for you?
5 items a day? Wow. I have never even visited that Poshmark site. Thank you for the tip of cross-listing tho.
Crossposting makes listing on PM really easy, mostly just cut and paste. Of course I have to be very diligent about ending the item’s listing on the alternate site once it does sell. I don’t want to accidentally sell the same item twice!
I’ve heard it can be time consuming to sell on Poshmark because of the social medial piece. What do you do about having to share items on fb, etc.? I don’t want to use my personal fb page to post items for sale, and my time is limited. Ebay is going slow for me also, so I’ve been concentrating on other things (like shopping online for myself and family, lol) rather than selling.
The social media component is a big part of PM, but all of the sharing I do is within the PM site or app itself. You can share listings to FB, twitter, tumblr, etc, but I don’t. To begin with it actually linked up with my twitter (that I rarely use) and was auto posting every time I listed something new, but I found it annoying so I actually disabled that feature. I would say about 99% of poshers also only share within the PM site. You share to themed parties (best tops, shoes, kidwear, etc) at certain times, or share to your followers. Following people is also a big thing. It sounds like a lot, but it’s really pretty simple once you get started. It can be time consuming though. I try to only share during times that I can’t be busy with more productive things – like when I’m waiting to pick my son up from school, walking home after I’ve dropped him off at school, in the car when my husband is driving, etc.
