Ooooh. Got my first neutral this evening. The weird thing is – I kind of don’t care. Maybe I’d be more upset if it was a negative. I always try to give the best possible service to my customers, but with eBay the way it is, really, I’m surprised something like this hasn’t happened before.
Here’s the feedback:
Item not the size advertised (7.8.9,10) – it is most 7/8 with hole-needs repair
I double checked the photos, and the tag clearly states that the size is 7-10 (it’s a costume). That is kind of a big range, but I certainly wasn’t trying to mislead, just listed what the tag said. AND I included measurements! So, whatever.
As for the hole – ?? I guess I can’t be sure that I didn’t miss something, but I always look over items closely when I list them and even closer when they sell. I certainly wouldn’t have shipped something out like that knowingly.
The buyer didn’t even try to contact me. I’ve heard you can ask for revised feedback for neutrals, which in this case I’m guessing I would need to offer a
bribe refund (around $20).
I’m thinking I could add a note to the feedback that reads “tag size read 7-10, included measurements, did not see hole” or something to that effect, given the space they allow. And maybe just leave it at that.
What would you do? Contact the buyer? Offer a refund? Or not sweat a neutral?
